System Bets Explained — Trixie, Yankee & Patent
A system bet splits your selections into many smaller combinations, so you can still get a return even if a leg or two lose — unlike an accumulator. This guide covers the named full-cover bets, worked examples, and when they make sense. Code VIP4YOU unlocks a 130% / $130 bonus.

A system bet (or "full-cover" bet) takes your selections and automatically builds every smaller combination — doubles, trebles and so on — into one slip. The point: you don't need all your picks to win to get a return. That safety net costs more, because you're funding many bets at once, not a single accumulator.
Common system / full-cover bets
| Name | Selections | Bets | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trixie | 3 | 4 | 3 doubles + 1 treble |
| Patent | 3 | 7 | Trixie + 3 singles |
| Yankee | 4 | 11 | 6 doubles, 4 trebles, 1 four-fold |
| Lucky 15 | 4 | 15 | Yankee + 4 singles |
| Canadian / Super Yankee | 5 | 26 | doubles → five-fold |
| Lucky 31 | 5 | 31 | Canadian + 5 singles |
| Heinz | 6 | 57 | doubles → six-fold |
Your unit stake is multiplied by the number of bets — a £1 Lucky 15 costs £15.
Worked example — Trixie
3 selections, $1 unit ($4 total)
A Trixie places 3 doubles (A+B, A+C, B+C) and 1 treble (A+B+C). If two of your three selections win, one double lands and pays — an accumulator would have lost entirely. If all three win, all four bets pay. You trade a higher total stake ($4 vs $1) for partial-win protection.
System bet vs accumulator
| Accumulator | System bet | |
|---|---|---|
| If a leg loses | whole bet loses | smaller combos can still pay |
| Stake | one stake | unit × number of bets (higher) |
| Max payout | highest (all legs) | lower per dollar staked |
| Best for | confidence in every leg | spreading risk across picks |

When system bets make sense
- You like 3–4 selections but aren't confident in all — a Trixie or Yankee returns on partial success.
- Bigger-odds picks where one winning double can cover the total stake.
- Lucky 15/31 with the singles when you want a return even if just one pick lands.
- Not for clearing the welcome bonus — wagering needs standard accumulators (see note below).

System bet FAQ
Are system bets more profitable than accumulators?
Not inherently — they reduce variance (more ways to return) but lower the max payout per dollar. They're a risk-management tool, not an edge.
Why did my Lucky 15 cost 15× my stake?
Because it's 15 separate bets. Your unit stake is multiplied by the number of bets in the system.
Can I use system bets for the welcome bonus?
Generally no — wagering requires standard 3+ leg accumulators at 1.40+ odds. Check the bonus terms before relying on a system bet.
