Half-time/full-time (HT/FT), also called the "double result", is a single bet that predicts the leader at the interval and the winner at the end. Because you're calling two results in one, the odds are bigger than the straight match winner — and the rare comeback combinations pay the most.
All 9 HT/FT outcomes

Worked example
Home/Home on a strong favourite
A dominant home side is 1.55 to win the match. Home/Home HT/FT (leading at the break and winning) might pay around 2.20 because it also requires a fast start. Stake $20 → returns $44 if they lead at half-time and win. You take on more risk (they must be ahead at HT) for a much bigger price than the 1.55 match winner.
When HT/FT carries value
- Fast-starting favourites vs weak sides — Home/Home at a premium to the short match winner.
- Draw/Favourite when a favourite tends to break down a low block in the second half.
- Comeback picks (Away/Home) only with a specific read — a strong side that starts slowly at home.
- Avoid HT/FT on evenly matched games — too many plausible paths dilute any edge.
HT/FT vs the match winner
The match winner (1×2) only cares about the final result; HT/FT adds the half-time condition, which raises the odds but also the risk. If you simply fancy a team to win, the match winner or double chance is cleaner. Use HT/FT when you have a read on how the game unfolds, not just who wins.

HT/FT betting FAQ
Why are comeback HT/FT odds so high?
Trailing at half-time and still winning is rare, so Away/Home and Home/Away pay the biggest prices of the nine outcomes.
Is HT/FT good for accumulators?
Favourite HT/FT picks at 1.40+ can be combined, but each adds the half-time condition, so the more legs, the lower the overall hit chance.
What's the difference from correct score?
HT/FT is about the result at two points; correct score is the exact final goals. Different questions, different odds.
